Research has demonstrated that early CPR plays a great part in the outcome when someone suffers from Sudden Cardiac Death. The chain of survival has many links which include first responders, advanced life support, specialized hospitals to continue the definitive care. One of the most important links is citizens knowing how to perform CPR. Citizens wanting to learn this easy skill have the following opportunities.

  • Health Care Provider Course (full certification course) – Provided in our classroom or can be brought to your facility
  • Heartsaver CPR Course (non-healthcare individuals) – Most common course for daycare employees, teachers, and other non-medical individuals. It includes CPR for the Adult, Child and Infant as well as the AED and choking
  • Hands Only CPR – This program is one hour long and teaches individuals what to do if you come upon an unconscious person. We can also bring this training program to your church or civic group if requested. Click here to see more on Hands Only CPR (Cardiocerebral Resuscitation).
  • Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED – This program is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrives. Skills covered in this course include first aid; choking relief in adults, children, and infants; and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants.

According the DHS, the Stop the Bleed program “is a national awareness campaign and call-to-action. Stop the Bleed is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.” TRAA has several trainers available to train your school, church group, civic group, employees or other group in these life-saving techniques.
