TRAA Maintains Compliance
Fort Wayne, IN (December 1, 2024)— Three Rivers Ambulance Authority (“TRAA”) has reached an 90% compliance on Priority 1 calls for the second consecutive month. These two months mark the first time since September of 2020 that response time has been at the 90% level.
To be considered compliant, TRAA must arrive on the scene of a Priority 1 call 90% of the time within 8 minutes and 30 seconds. Priority 1 runs are high acuity runs including strokes, heart attacks, difficulty breathing, and major trauma.
Executive Director Joel Benz said “we have made significant progress overcoming national industry shortages of qualified EMS professionals. Although we are not fully staffed at this point, we have made major strides in the right direction.”
